Heritage plaster repair and restoration
Projects
Please take a look at some of our recent projects:
Restoration; Cheltenham townhouse
We were instructed to repair the cornice in this Grade II listed property. It was found that a substantial proportion of the acanthus leaves were damaged beyond long term repair and had to be replaced with other decorative elements.
Restoration; Grade II listed townhouse
This project required removing paint layers and repairing or replacing damaged elements, to bring an over painted centre rose back to its original intention.
Restoration; Grade II listed townhouse, Cheltenham
We were instructed to design and install the plasterwork to the stairwell ceiling. This shows the intended frieze elements through the early stages of design.
Lime work; Grade II listed house, Worcestershire
We were asked to remove the existing failed render and reinstate using limecote, repair part of the timber frame and limewash the finished panels.
Lime work; Vernacular cottage, Worcestershire
Our objective was to remove the limewash from the external walls, rake-out the mortar, make the necessary repairs and re-point with non-hydralic lime.
Lime work; Worcestershire project
The project required us to strip back the fabric to both ceilings and walls, this was made up of a variety of inappropriate materials, mostly cementitious. The client wanted to expose the brick and stone in part and re-plaster the ceiling. We were also instructed to remove the black paint from the elm timbers.
